Atlantis, Paradise Island

Atlantis Paradise Island is the most popular resort in the Bahamas. The resort features the world’s largest open-air marine habitat, 11 pools, extraordinary beaches, golf course, the largest casino and water park in the Caribbean, over 20 restaurants, bars, and night clubs.

Expedia’s offering up to 50% off when you book an Air-inclusive reservation, and up to $500 in resort credits when you stay at Atlantis. This is a great opportunity to experience something rather unique and amazing. Atlantis Paradise Island offers a select collection of accommodation, including the Royal Towers, and the Cove Atlantis.

Let’s go through the terms and conditions, so that you can see how, and when to book, and what to expect.

• For travels before December 20, 2016:
Well, I think this is unlikely to happen, but just in case you are really into the last-minute stuff.
- 5+ nights: You get $500 at the Cove Atlantis; OR $350 at Atlantis Royal Towers.
- 3 or 4 nights: You get $300 at the Cove Atlantis; OR $250 at Atlantis Royal Towers.

- 3+ nights: You get $150 at Atlantis Beach Tower, Coral Towers, and the Reef Atlantis.

• For all new bookings now through December 20, 2016:
- Save 55% when you book hotel & air, and travel through March 10, 2017.
- You will receive up to $500 resort credit if you complete your trip by December 23, 2016.
- You will receive up to $450 resort credit when you travel in the period between December 24, 2016, and July 31, 2017.

You can use resort credits for a variety of extraordinary activities, such as Dolphin & Marine Adventures, Atlantis Kids Adventures, CRUSH, Atlantis Pals, Atlantis Speedway, Atlantis LIVE performances, or select food and beverage outlets.

“Resort credit may not be used for laundry service or at any of the following outlets: Mandara Spa, Ocean Club Golf Course, the Casino, Marina Starbucks, Quizno's, the Atlantis Signature shops or any other retail shops. It may not be used on gratuities for food and beverage consumption, nightly mandatory fees, in-room movies or phone calls.”

• All-Inclusive Experience Offer
- This offer includes accommodation, meals and beverages in select venues, deluxe beverages at certain locations, access to Aquaventure Water Park, and marine exhibits, the Dig, Atlantis Fitness Center, tennis courts and lap pool, Climber’s Rush, daily fish feeding, marine life education, gaming lessons, movies, Wi-Fi, unlimited local phone calls, resort shuttle services, and even all resort taxes, fees, surcharges, and gratuities such as housekeeping and for restaurants are included.
- Rates start at $299 per person per night at Atlantis Beach Tower; or at $369 at Atlantis Royal Towers.
- You can travel now through June 15, 2017, but you need to book before June 13, 2017.
- Blackout dates: November 20 – 26, 2016; December 21 – 31, 2016; February 16 – May 6, 2017.
- You need to book at least 3 nights.
- Children 11 or younger must eat from the kids’ menu.

So, given the blackout dates, there’s not much flexibility in terms of travel dates, but if you’re interested in this offer, I hope you’ll find these dates suitable, and manage to fit in the “schedule”.

I was pleasantly surprised when I found rooms available for $200 in May, even though they said room rates were starting from $234 at Atlantis Beach Tower. It’s a terrace view room with two Queen beds. The room’s got everything, from free Wi-Fi, to hypo-allergenic bedding, and air conditioning. A room at these rates is non-refundable, so book it only if you’re 100% certain that you’ll be able to make that trip.

At Atlantis Royal Towers, I found this amazing Terrace room, with either one kind bed or two double beds for only $279 per night in May!

At Atlantis Coral Towers, you’ll find rooms available from $249 in January. Those same rooms would cost you $210 in May.

Bottom Line
Clearly, the best rates are offered for stays in May. Furthermore, I wasn’t able to find air & hotel packages to Paradise Island on Expedia, so I’m know sure about this promo offer. But, when you simply click to book now, you will be able to find a room, and still get a resort credit, even if flight tickets aren’t included. That’s a thing I dislike about Expedia, their terms and conditions are sometimes blurry. You might want to check with their customer support before you finalize your reservation, but if you don’t want to wait for them to answer questions you may have, I’ll be happy to help.

If you don't want to book through Expedia, you should know that Atlantis is offering the very same deals: 40% off nightly rates, or 55% off when you book a flight & hotel at the same time.
